Job Brief Overview
Astrik is looking for a high caliber Logistic Officer who will be responsible for Company operations and management of assets through effective engagement of all stakeholders. The logistic office will play significant role in the logistics planning, and effective supplier management for the effective team performance. Logistic office will also work in the collaboration with all departments in identification of the suppliers and maintenance of fixed and movable assets. The Logistic Officer will be reporting directly to the DFA.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Responsible to determine company specific logistic requirements
- Oversee and coordinate a variety of tasks to maintain adequate levels of supplies and equipment.
- Coordinate all activities with Director of department to ensure timely order placement of required items
- Collect proforma invoices for the purchasing of office supplies as per procurement requirement
- Responsible on follow up and tracking activities to determine delivery status
- Maintain inventory, order materials, and manage and oversee stock of stationary and supplies
- Create and maintain contingency plans to ensure that all implemented logistic programs work successfully.
- Oversee appropriate storage and security of procured items and ensure proper allocation of space for fragile items and equipment
- Manage stock levels, delivery times, and transport costs and coordinate and control order cycles
- Ensure records and cording of all company fixed and movable assets
- Create and maintain effective liaison with vendors and suppliers and negotiate contracts in the best interest of the company.
- Collaborate with accountant in resolve issues or queries related to purchase and payment of the service provider
- Responsible for keeping appropriate records and logs to support the use of the supplies by the staff, and company equipment etc.
- Stay current with knowledge of dispatch, logistics planning, and effective supplier management
Required Skills/Abilities
- Logistic and Assets Management
- Excellent communication skills (English, and knowledge of French is added advantage)
- Self-motivated, initiative and creativity
- Financial skill and Ability to plan, multi-task and manage Company assets effectively
- Commitment, persuasive, convincing, and negotiation skills
- Advanced computer and database skills
- Proven experience in Financial and Logistics managerial skill (Logistics, Operation, etc) Education and Experience
- Degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Business enterprises, Finances and operation
- At least 5 years of experience as Logistic officer, Finance, Administration,
